In 2007, Good Samaritans created a new program to help the needy children of our community. We started the program, because there are many children who go without basic necessities and are too young to find their way to our service center. Many are "homeless" under federal law, meaning they do not have a permanent and adequate night-time residence. Most are among the over 60% of our students who live in low-income households. The majority of these children are four to eleven years old. We work directly with the schools' counselors to provide these children with such things as shoes, coats, lice kits, school supplies, clothing, and dental and doctors' bills.
Help us help our children by donating or volunteering.
